It wasn't meant to be like this, but sometimes getting a pic for my PAD can seem like homework.
Although I carry my camera everywhere with me, much to the amusement of my colleagues, the day
is often nearing its end before I starting looking for inspiration. Today was one of those days. We
had bright sunshine and blue skies but I was stuck in an office, behind a computer. The drive home
failed to inspire me and the handful of pics I took of a vase of daffs didn't look very good when
I uploaded them. So, just before the light faded, I went for a walk up the road. The lambs weren't
within shooting distance and things didn't look very hopeful until I spotted the evening sun
catching these flowers. They grow in the cottage garden which belonged to an old lady who
sadly passed away last year. Soon nature will take over but I imagine these flowering currants
will continue to bloom unless chopped down.

Lovely bit of backlighting - and I know just what you mean about being stuck in an office all day whilst the sun shines... :o)

I like the light effect on the leaves in particular; late afternoon sun is great for that sort of thing. Maybe the fact that you didn't get anything earlier was just the photo gods' way of telling you to wait for it.
