Gold Finches

Much to my delight we now have three goldfinches visiting the bird feeders.
As the days are now warmer, I opened the kitchen window, having first
locked Toffee out of the room, and got some shots of this colourful
pair enjoying a feast of peanuts. We now have great tits, blue tits, coal
tits, robins, sparrows and chaffinches visiting on a daily basis. All
this activity caught the attention of a neighbouring cat but we shooed
him away a couple of times and he hasn't been seen recently.

Wow! More colors than our goldfinches. Ours are mostly a bright yellow with some black in the head and wings. and touches of white on the wings. Mine are just not starting to color up. Nice image Mairead!

Amazing colors on them!!! Ours are merely 'highlighter yellow' and black...........not nearly so much color!

Very beautiful and colorful. Your gold finches look so different from ours here. How wonderful to have 3 of these beauties visiting your feeder.
