A Slight Touch of Snow

It's a running joke in our house that I will have to dig the car out to get to work because
no matter what the forecasters say, we rarely get any snow even if the rest of the country
is under a carpet of the white stuff.
This morning, however, he wasn't joking and the countryside was under a blanket of snow.
But even as I was replenishing the bird feeders the snow was beginning to melt and was
dripping from the branches. I knew it would be melted by lunchtime so I just took this
quick shot of our neighbours' sheep,

Funny scene with the sheep on the road. I love the wintery tones and the POV down the lane. V

The forecasters must be happy that they got it right for a change.

Just enough snow to make it petty. We don't want too much of a good thing!

Nice to see that the sheep are wearing their woolies ~ perfect for the weather! :-))

You're getting good subject value out of those sheep! Nice "corridor" effect here; I like the crispness of the frost-dusted plants, and the golden ones on the right add a touch of needed colour to a classic wintery scene. (Of course, Spring will be there shortly, just as Autumn will be for us... in theory at least.)

Snow makes everything look so pretty. We are in the middle of a snowstorm now. They are predicting 14-20 inches!
