As I looked out at the magical ingredients of heavy frost and fog I contemplated my usual weekend dilemma - photography
or housework. The housework could wait, I decided, and I wrapped up in a warm coat, hat, scarf and mittens before
heading out to the fields to get some pictures of our neighbours' sheep. I then swapped lens for a macro and turned
my attention to the heavily frosted leaves and twigs. But soon my fingers were stinging with the cold and I was glad to
return indoors and plunge my hands into a bowl of nice warm soapy water. As temperatures hovered around freezing
for most of the day, housework for once seemed the better option.
