This old trunk belonged to my grandfather who went to
work in America as a carpenter at the end of the 19th century.
According to a lable inside it was purchased from 'David Sohwartz of
No 12 Fourth Avenue (formerly of Broadway), Manufacturer of all kinds of
Trunks and Bags.' Today I use it to store linen.
