Hill Walking in The Cooley Mountains.

The Cooley Mountains are a paradise for hill walkers. A series of easily accessible mountains
affording spectacular views across Dundalk Bay and to the distant Wicklow Mountains to the
south and across Carlingford Lough and the Mournes to the north.
The main peaks are Slieve Foye 589m, Clermont Carn, 510m, Carnavaddy 457m, the Foxes Rock 404m.
There are three active walking clubs in the area and efforts are being made to promote hill walking
as a tourist activity in this part of the county
