Fudge- A Dog's Tale

Fudge, or Carrickview Nighthawk to give him his kennel club name, was born on May 26th 2010.
He came to live with us on July 20th 2010 and this is his story as he grows from puppyhood.
Our previous two dogs, Bran, a Labrador, and Patch, a Dalmatian, were both rescue dogs. This
time we decided we wanted a puppy, especially as he was going to have to share our home withour indoor cat Toffee.
We said goodbye to our best boy on August 24 2023

There is a five month old yellow lab at the local off-leash area, absolutely adorable of course, and the early photos of Fudge are equally adorable - nothing like a labrador pup for cuteness. He has grown into a striking, handsome boy. V

Happy birthday Fudgie! 6 years old today! (Which is about 42 in hoomin terms, but fortunately Labs are usually immune to mid life crises.) I hope you get lots of treats and walks today, and that the cat leaves you alone.

This is such a lovely gallery. You have added many more photos since I left a comment some months back. It is amazing to see how Fudge has grown from that roly-poly little bundle into a handsome big dog. He is truly beautiful, Mairead! I am glad you are sharing these photos with us. V
