This gallery is something of a personal challenge. When I started to use digital cameras I thought that taking images of people would be my favourite genre of photography. Then I found it very difficult to get the courage to ask people for their permission to take images of them. I enjoy taking candid portraits at weddings where no-one really pays any attention to photographers. Approaching strangers I find very difficult, and I'm somewhat diffident about posting images of friends without their permission. My family,bless them, have been very tolerant of me so far.
