A friend who is in Rome at the moment visited the Vatican City on the day the Papal Conclave ended. He had just sent me this postcard with the “vacant seat” stamp when the white smoke appeared. These stamps are relatively rare, and this postcard will not find its way into the pile of old postcards that serve as bookmarks.
