I must admit that I can't stand beetroot, but I like the photo; the explosion of green coming out of the top right attracts the eye. I think that the creamish/yellowish almonds (which have very good surface detail) make a good "moderating buffer" between the green and the red; the colour change might have been a bit jarring had it not been for them.
