The cookbook

A friend who knows how much I enjoyed the work of Alexander McCall Smith
surprised me yesterday by sending me a copy of this cookbook.
It is full of interesting images, stories and customs from Botswana
and it pays due homage to the wonderful character,Precious Ramotswe,
who made her first appearance in "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency".

As I type I'm enjoying a mug of Rooibos tea - this also came about after reading about Precious and the No 1 Agency!

delightful image and story...must have been a treat to open the package..it seems by the card that the book is endorsed by the local dairy association too...perhaps if you try a few recipies you too will gradually become 'traditionally built'...V

Happy to learn about this book. I came across the #1 Ladies Detective Agency on HBO here and fell in love with the series. McCall Smith does such a good job in conveying his love for the gentle people of Botswana. I wish they would make more movies. I will have to find a copy of this cookbook! I have been wondering how bush tea tastes.

What a lovely gift. But what does 'the traditionally built' mean? Not size zero I guess.
