During the summer I paid a visit to the primary school, where every day I and my schoolfriends would jump through this stile and line up outside the school door. My father taught there until his untimely death in the early seventies. The school closed this year; it is being amalgamated with another small rural school and both sets of pupils and their teachers are being accommodated in a fine new building.
