The coin

I do not really collect coins, but I have a few that are meaningful, and this is special for two reasons: it was struck for the year 2000 to celebrate the arrival of the new millenium, and at that stage we were still operating with the Irish pound, or the punt.

Memories of the arrival of the new millenium... instead of attending a gigantic celebration party at a beach somewhere in NZ -where it was supposed to be summer-, we were locked in our hotel room because of a gigantic rain and gigantic cold. But it was a wonderful trip and fun anyway. So thanks to bring back this memory to me, Maire!
