Double pestle and mortar

Bad weather has kept me in the kitchen and now I'm trying to find other uses for some of my kitchen utensils. Photography helps!

You don't need excuses, because this is a great shot.

Hope your finger gets better! I like this set. Nice composition! Yucky here too so no time really out today except to the grocery store.

Ah, yes, kitchen utensils: I can photograph them for hours. (Are they for something else too?)

I use my mortar and pestle all the time! Usually it's to mash up medication for one of my pets. I used to use it to crush sesame seeds for Asian cooking, but I have since bought a Zojirushi battery operated sesame seed grinder and it's terrific.
