sample pics shot in iceland with new canon 10D. camera arrived literally 5 mins before we were out the door!
i unpacked it, and carefully put it into a plastic bag and a canvas sack and put it in my backpack. charged the battery at the airport. then, due to the fact we were so on the go, and the weather being inclement, the times I did use it, I used it either on full auto, program mode, and Av mode. Also had to shoot through dirty windows at times or from a moving car. :)
Changed various exposure parameters, and in-camera processing -- boosting contrast and saturation a day into the trip, playing with iso. i left white balance on auto (AWB).
'a_ ' pics are iso 100, 'e_' are iso 800. my feeling was that i was satisfied with the outdoor AWB, but the indoor AWB was poor, with a heavy orange-yellow color cast. in the pics in this gallery, i manually added blue in 'Levels' to refresh appeal. All of the images have had carious color channels tweaked to restore subjective esthetic quality, except for the 100% shot of the water, which is out of camera. Still playing with the potential of custom white balance (see the other 10D galleries and test shots a level up). Decent results for an inexpensive lens, but will have to expend more money to get close to e-10's optical sharpness.
