Finca Fiesta Campesina
Approximately 400m on your right after the Central Australia exit on the Autopista Nacional, is a kind of mini-zoo-meets-country fair with labeled examples of Cuba's typical flora and fauna. The highlights of this slightly seedy place are the coffee (some of the best in Cuba and served with a sweet wedge of sugarcane), the bull-riding and the hilarious if slightly infantile games of guinea-pig roulette overseen with much pizzazz by the gentleman at the gate.
It's the only place in Cuba – outside the cockfighting – where you encounter any form of open gambling.

Playa Giron
The Bay of Pigs Invasion (Spanish: Invasion de Playa Giron or Invasion de Bahia de Cochinos or Batalla de Giron) was a failed military invasion of Cuba undertaken by the CIA-sponsored paramilitary group Brigade 2506 on 17 April 1961. A counter-revolutionary military (made up of Cuban exiles who traveled to the United States after Castro's takeover), trained and funded by the United States government's Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Brigade 2506 fronted the armed wing of the Democratic Revolutionary Front (DRF) and intended to overthrow the increasingly communist government of Fidel Castro. Launched from Guatemala and Nicaragua, the invading force was defeated within three days by the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, under the direct command of Prime Minister Fidel Castro.

Cienfuegos, Palacio de Valle
Palacio de Valle is an architectural jewel located in the Punta Gorda, in the city of Cienfuegos reminiscent of Spanish-Moorish art with influences of Gothic, Romanesque, Baroque and Mudejar arts. Place of cultural events, in addition to restaurant (specializing in seafood), museum and bar. National Heritage Memorial in Cienfuegos.
The land was purchased by the dealer Don Acisclo del Valle, owner of several plants, including the now defunct San Lino wit. The construction began in 1913 and the work was entrusted to Italian architect Alfredo Colli and foreman Juan Suarez, ending in 1917, costing a million and half pesos. It turned an architectural whim.
