Bath Time For Cooper's Hawk

This young bather is one of five young yearlings residing at Montreal's Botanical Garden. The shot was taken early in the morning at ground level, with a beam of light directly on the bird. A memorable experience indeed.

Canon 50D with 500 f4 lens @ 1/800, f9, ISO 400.

Slight crop for composition purposes.

Great shot, Mike. Several of us in Ottawa were lucky enough to observe a Cooper's Hawk here doing the same thing this Spring. - it's a great experience and a wonderful photo-op. - V
