Fun With Snow Geese ---------------- Ravissement avec les Grandes Oies des neiges

Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area is a first-class site to observe the spring and fall migrations of the Greater Snow Goose. The geese migrate to and from the arctic and North Carolina. In the fall, for example, from the arctic, the geese and their goslings fly 3,000 km. before arriving at Cap Tourmente where they stop to rest, congregate and feed before completing the final 900 km. journey to North Carolina. On peak days, thousands of geese rest and feed at the reserve. oh my God what a treat i love this gallery and your shots...i love snow geese and only once or twice in 40 years have seen a flock in the fall in lincoln ma where i worked for audubon society.. and once in ten years i see and always look for a snow goose trailing a flock of canada geese, but almost never see one your shots are amazing i voted for the gallery and am bookamrking this spot thanks for brilliant work of sonderful birsd to you ever see redpolls or waxwings don
