Probably my favorite in this great gallery. I like the simplicity.

Thanks much Carol and Yiannis...I figured I'd better take a pic of my old hat before it falls apart.

Thanks Wendy...not as much fun to do as with my Olympus, but easier to control selectively...and what would I do it my camera broke :-)

I like this! Great light and shadows with this edit.

Thanks much ac.
This is fun to do...since the end result is often a surprize, seems the more highly textured and contrasty work the best.

Barri, this one is very nice, very graphic.

Thanks Jeanne
I'm amazed that this process created midtones or really almost like halftones in the area behind and above the hat. I think it's because the detail is much better than my "in camera" method...and you can control which areas get what.

Hey Tom
LOL...I only use this when it's really hot and sunny...don't much care for hats. If you wear a hat and mask better watch out for homeland security especially if you've got a camera :-) Thanks.

That's cool too. Geesh.. I put a hat on and look like an umbrella, but I'd realy do the world a favor if I'd wear a one. Oh, and a mask too! ;-)
