Thanks June and Janet
I never saw a pronounced funnel like in the movies touching down, but there was rotation in these clouds... almost expected one to come down...the sirens could be heard far off in the city. There was one that did do damage about 5-10 minutes before that dropped from this same rotating wall cloud, and shortly afterwards too. We just had another tornado (July) that did tremendous damage to a small town just a few miles away...that one was part of a whole system that dropped about 20 seperate tornados in our state that day.

The colours, contrast and the lighting are amazing. Janet

Thanks much Tom,
I found this place pretty much by accident, turned down a dead end to get a shot of the storm...I'll have to remember this place the next time one of these go by...not very far away and it seems right on the track of where the bad weather goes always. Thanks again.

Fantastic shot. Wonderful landscape to begin with, but and incredible moment to shoot it with great processing too. This gallery gets a vote from me. tfs.

Thanks Simon,
Those objects in the road were a turkey and a chicken, they were totally oblivious to the weather.
