The reason I eliminated part of the name of the bridge in the photo itself, is because the 'East' is not included in the sign.
The East side of my city has been traditionally looked down upon by some west side residents.
This Avenue has been called East Washington Avenue, for a very long time...maybe 120 years or more.
Why the 'East' would be eliminated on the fancy new, expensive bridge...is beyond me ;-)
