Guess this appeals to me for the same reason "holga" does. I find I look deeper into the photo, instead of watching for grain & sharpness (pitfall of viewing so many macro & wanna-be macro insect shots). There's feeling involved here, triggered from the dark tone and softness as with your technically incorrect series. I like it on a subconscious level.
