We've been in the area before, but the pictures of Steamboat Falls that I'd seen had left me somewhat underwhelmed. At lower flow, evidence of manmade structures didn't much appeal to me. But when we were at the ranger station, we saw a photo of the falls at full flow, so we decided to come look for ourselves.
