The trail was closed when we were here in July 2003. It's too bad that we didn't get to see Watson. Umm, of course we wouldn't have hiked on the closed trail right? There really wasn't any reason for the trail to be closed at that time since the bridge had just been rebuilt. There wasn't much water flowing in Watson at that time, but we really liked the setting.

This time the drive down to the parking area was covered with ice. Cheryl parked on the road and waited while I hiked through the snow (maybe 30% of the trail had snow and ice) up to the falls.
