Identification unknown

I'm unsure what this strange plant species is. It sorta looks like Christmas Tree lights, but why would they be in the desert?

Ah.. you've ran across the "Aluminferous Guillouche", often indigenous in more populated areas. The colorful baccate of these plants are reguarded highly for their luminiterous quality, and semiinfinite trailing abilities. Very unusual to see these in the wild, well spotted! ;)
