One of these days

Or make that one of these years, I'm going to go back to this place. We didn't have nearly enough time to spend here last time. I'd love to be able to take some of the hikes, although the trail across the snow (probably ice) that slopes towards the lake would be a bit of a concern.

This was from the viewpoint in the previous picture. There were some short paths up near the visitor center.

Yeah it was a bit cold. Not freezing though. Just a bit of light rain. That's why I take a jacket on summer vacations.

This was the first week of August. We had planned to go to Artist's Point, but the road was closed. We could have hiked up there (if we had the time), but it was a bit cloudy.

Beautiful!
Nice shoot, but cold looking. Was this a view from the road? We just had snow here. even though it only lasted a little while. Not enough to bother taking pics of, but this would be a great view while sitting in a warm cabin, with a good fire going. ;)
