New Haven CT hosted this year's 2004 USA 20K Championship Race as part of the 27th annual NewAlliance New Haven Road Race. There were over 5,000 entrees. These shots were not taken at the start or finish line - thus no massed runners breaking from the starting line or triumphant victors crossing the finish line. These are just the runners making their way through my neighborhood at mid-course on a glorious day in late summer. Ryan Shay of East Jordan MI and Turena Johnson Lane of Statesboro GA were the winners.
