North Face Tents were the " Cat's Mellow " in the 70's and 80's. Later , outsourcing labor overseas made the tents and thinking more of profit margins instead of hikers made their tents less appealing. For the most part, this was the way the outdoor industy in general became and quality rapidly dropped. The old tents of the 70's and early 80's were the best ever made in my humble option.....
