Early 70's swaw Americans begin to worry more about their enviroment so the sale of this backpack was made easy with the logo. ( Donated to me by good friends)
I still have the pack that my now deceased husband used to hike part of the Appalachiam Trail in early '70's with his Boy Scout troop from Cincinnati Ohio. Yes, we were concerned about the environment, but that movement died out as people grew up and had families, lived lives. Now it's all back to haunt us.

My Mom had one of these in the 1970's. "Somewhere" I have pictures of her with it as we hiked and camped all around Oregon and California. I ended up with it as it was destined for a garage sale or the Goodwill at one point may years ago. As I am downsizing my life - I sold it on Ebay about two/three yers ago - just wondering if this is the same pack? (I suppose they all look alike though). Mike - Leavenworth, KS (outside the walls)
One of the members of my BSA troop 22 carried one of these in the early 1970s, back when being eco-enviro-minded was a cool thing! Today, it's an eco-terrorist right wing slur.
