Got this " Coffee Brown" old enlish bike from my old neighbor for 10.00. What a plasure to ride in town. These bikes weren't built for looks or speed , but as dailey transportation. ( Built Feb. 1979 according to the date stamp in middle of 3 speed hub, which is an easy way to date this bike)

I just refurbished a 1963 raleigh sports roadster which is similar to this. It is now my favorite short trip bike and my modenrn bikes are collecting dust. Heavy, but easy to service, durable, comfortable and sure footed. It is fun to ride a bike that is older than I am.

I used to ride a similar one in the early 1960's, all the ones in England came in green. The Sturmey Archer 3 speed was indestructible. I rode many thousands of miles on this bike.
