Beautiful shot, and dog!! Superb portrait, and excellent feeling of distance with your use of DoF! Vote!

Bob..........I disagree here...........this image shows focus on the dog and that is what I see through my eyes.......nice one Monte

Wonderful image, great composition, and the dog is fabulous!!! Is it yours?

Selective focus works well in photos where the main subject is in focus and the rest of the image that is not important to the main subject is out of focus. That keeps your eyes on the main subject. This image is a great composition. The problem is the mountins being so far out of focus. The snow in the mountians draws your eyes away from the dog. Had the mountians been in focus, this would have been a much more pleasing image.

Excellent shot Monte! That dog with the backdrop of the mountain works really well.

What a great shot - now that is a content looking dog. PS - loved your comment on my pic of the old lady smoking a cigar. She does like like Clint's mom!
