Gordy bought A.L. Cool's Trapping Right's in 1926 and lived in a cabin in foreground ( which was geting in rough shape after 30 years so in 1931 ,he built the cabin standing today to replace it. In order to get the logs up higher than his head , he waited for the snows. As the snow pack got higher, he was able to raise his cabin walls quite easy.. He lived in the old cabin still the new one was built.. One can only guess he used had he could out of the older cabin and burned the rest...
