Entiat Valley Pioneer Cemetary

About half way to Ardenvoir for the town of Entiat is the old Cemetary where most of the Vally's early pioneers are lay to rest. The Martin Family donated the land and for over one hundred years , local residents live and die within a few miles of their forefathers and foremothers. Very nice view and quite and interesting place to try to " Connect The Dots" of family trees before your feet.

I also have 2 great grand parents buried in the Entiat Cemetery. I recently wanted to add my information to the website Interment.net, but was advised they need atleast 12 people who are buried there to list a page for the Entiat Cemetery. I was wondering if you would send me the information you have for the people there and I will volunteer to post it to the site. Interment.net is a free site where people can find burial information. Entiat Cemetery is not listed in the State of WA and it is such a wonderful old cemetery it should be listed. Sure hope that you are willing to share your information. Thanks so much. The Entiat Cemetery is the only cemetery in the Entiat Valley. Most of the early pioneers are buried there.

I go to this place every year. You have pictures of my grandpa's grave as well as greats and my great uncle as well. So neat. I love how you took somthing simple that people try not to think of like death and made it your center. I am a big fan.

This is indeed the Entiat Cemetery. I have family buried here, and will be myself someday. I believe the author was simply recalling travelling up the valley toward Ardenvoir when he describes it as "near".

I cannot understand just where this cemetary is. It is NOT the one that local folks are still buried? The one I'm thinking about is closer to Entiat than to Ardenvoir. Is there
still another cemetary? closer to Ardenvoir? I've seen where the original mill was built, is it nearer to that location? I lived in Ardenvoir such a short year, yet have always been interested. Can't even guess where an Ardenvoir Cemetary could be located. Anyone willing to tell me?
