Rays of hope.... ...illuminate my parents' eyes

Viroqua, Wisconsin

The Public Market under construction...

My family and I bought an old car dealership in my hometown of Viroqua, WI. It was built in 1912... probably one of the first in Wisconsin.

We had the insane notion that this old fair lady still had a little life in her... we decided on a town public market.

Early in rehab, we realized there were several original skylights in the former service area that had been covered over (years prior).

As the building took a deep breath one day, wondering what the commotion inside her belly would lead to .... we unroofed the heavenly turned windows....

And she began... to exhale.

Fantastic shot. Perfect composition - progressing from a polished top to an unfinished bottom - capturing details in the depth of field works great in this photo.

This is a wonderful shot and I would guess a difficult exposure to get right. Nice.
