Sunday August 16, 2009 Houston held its very first Pakistan Day Parade. The five block parade started and ended at Tranquility Park. Despite the hot weather a large number of Pakistanis came out to celebrate Pakistan's independence day. The mood was very festive, colorfull and full of Pakistan Zindabad's chants. The parade was followed by a Pakistani musical show and good old desi food. Enclosed are few pictures from the parade.
