My ship, USS Glover, visited Kiel for Keiler Woche 1987. My first visit to Europe. I got to use my rusty high school german, and discovered the great sausages served everywhere along the waterfront. I took part in a regatta using european naval small boats..great. Took some pics, but I have no idea where they might be (after 5 moves). Thanks for the refresher.
