Stacking toy. The design of this toy, with a tapered core, presents a challenge to the woodworker.
Cutting the holes for the core has to take into account the taper of the core, yet not be so loose a fit that it's sloppy.
Simply drilling a hole for a cylindrical core would be so much easier. But the tapered shaft is more elegant
both in appearance and in function--putting the plates in the wrong order is immediately evident by the fact
that they won't slide down the core shaft as they should.
