People movers 0374

Varadaro, Cuba

An open-top double-decker bus serves the string of resorts near Varadero.
For 5 pesos (roughly $5), you can hop on and off as many times and places as you wish.
Travel tip #1: Don't take this bus into Varadero townsite on a cloudy day,
because everybody else in the (literally) 15,000 rooms in that area will be doing the same thing.
Travel tip #2: Clouds can turn into rain, and you don't want to be on the upper deck when that happens.
Travel tip #3: Don't think you can squeeze into the lower deck if the rain starts. It's already jammed like sardines in a tin.
Travel tip #4: When it does rain, your chances of getting on the bus are better if you try to go the wrong way (i.e., into town rather than out of town).
That way, at least you'll be on the bus instead of having it drive right by the bus stop because it's way too full already.
