Saskatoon's century-old bridge is referred to variously as the Iron Bridge, the Traffic Bridge, and several other names.
It has recently been closed to all traffic -- including pedestrians -- because, as the mayor put it, it could collapse under its own weight
at any moment due to severe rusting. Only a couple years ago City Council voted to spend nearly half a million dollars on multi-coloured lights
(rendered as white in the 4-second exposure because they alternate through various colours), but apparently nobody thought
of spending any money on paint in the last 50 years.
