Texian Market Days ~ Historic George Ranch

Originally settled in 1824 as part of Stephen F. Austin's Colony by Nancy and Henry Jones,
this 23,000-acre working ranch stands as a testament to the independent spirit of Texas. In the years since,
the ranch has passed through four generations and grown into one of Fort Bend County's landmarks.

Texian Market Days is an annual celebration of Texas history that includes costumed historical interpreters
and volunteers presenting vignettes of daily lives and heroic moments from the early days in Stephen F. Austin's
colony (1830s) through the late years of the Great Depression and World War II (1940s)along with toe-tapping
old-time tunes, an antique tractor show and pull (in collaboration with the Texas Antique Tractor Pull Association),
arts and crafts from around the region at the Texian Market Place and so much more.
