No, I don't think it's Oleander, I think it's J D Sawyer. (I wrote that while the title was still "Oleander 5-15-23 03.jpg", but I see it changed as I was typing.)
More seriously, though... 43 years and change. That is not what you would call a long life by today's standards, but by the standards of the late 19th century it probably wasn't that uncommon. It makes you think, though... everything that he did in his life (I assume that JD was a him from the Masonic insignia) had to be crammed into half the time that most people take for granted now.
