Sorry I've been away from Pbase this month.
My younger sister was hospitalized for several weeks and eventually died on February 13th, exactly one month after her 67th birthday.
She's left behind a big empty spot in my life. :(
Like me, she loved roses and gardening. My roses started blooming this week, first time after our winter freeze in mid-December.

Yes, I'd noticed your absence; when I saw the thumbnail appear in my favourites list I thought "Ah, she's back!" Then I read the caption. Oh. I'm sorry to hear about your sister. There's nothing that can be really said to make it any better. This is, however, a beautiful image in her honour.
