Texas Move Day

Galveston Island. Texas

The last of the dreadnoughts, Battleship Texas entering Galveston after a daylong, historic tow.
After over 70 years at its home at the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site, the 110-year-old vessel Battleship Texas
was towed to the Gulf Coast Copper Yards for a $35M restoration that will take about two years.

Wow; the last I heard of the Texas she was rusting away to nothing. It's good to see that she was made seaworthy(ish) again, or at least enough to get to the repair yards.

So neat to thing that the ship will be restored instead of scrapped.
