Rebuilding The Dunes

Galveston Island. Texas

Every year, our discarded Christmas trees are collected and corralled on the beaches just past the high tide line.
Sand dunes that were washed away in last summer's storms are scraped off the streets and yards and pushed back into the corral.
By June, the dunes will be full of flowers and grasses again.

We've just had the high wind edge of a passing cyclone on our east coast with waves up to 10 metres and high tides so debris on top of damage is something I understand..should look good by summer, Lynn.

that's a clever approach, and takes care of Xmas tree disposal too...the houses on posts do suggest the storm scenarion here..

I’m glad they are being restored and I hope the sign is obeyed. Love the snowman on the deck. V
