After Hurricane Nicholas

Galveston Island, Texas

The sand dunes are gone again. Can't seem to win this battle with Mother Nature.
Thankfully, he moved on through and spared most of the homes and businesses.
We didn't have power for two days, but expected that and we were prepared.
All is well now. Just a lot yard clean-up to be done.

Striking shot! Interesting to read your comments about the dunes which seems to come and go. I'm glad you didn't have more than a few days power outage from the hurricane. V

the dunes must be cyclical then, building up and blowing away with changes in weather...fine shot, with the tumbled fences also showing damage..

A dramatic but superb capture with soft tones.
