Big Bend National Park, Texas

Dugout Wells is a historic desert oasis in the Chihuahuan Desert.
We saw a mountain lion here. It was the only one we saw on this trip. He scurried away as soon as he spotted us,
But we got a good look at him as he went into the dense scrub. There were a many different animal tracks around the spring
and under this palm that was loaded with fruit, including fox, jack rabbit, coyote, kangaroo rats, and pecary.
Dugout Wells Oasis is the buffet in the desert.
