In August 2008, the historic Balinese Room was destroyed by Hurricane Ike.
Throughout the years many stars graced the pier called the Balinese Room. Duke Ellington, Marx Brothers, Frank Sinatra, Jack Benny, Bob Hope and George Burns just to name a few.
Rock Legends ZZ Top even wrote a song about the Balinese.
