Martha Gonzales

At Home in Sugar Land Texas

Another day, another of my favorite roses - this one is in the front yard.
This rose is named after the woman in whose garden it was found growing in Navasota, Texas in 1984.
Navasota is about 1 hour northwest of us.
Found by "rose rustlers" at the Texas home of Martha Gonzales (now deceased), it is often used as a hedge rose.
As such, it is regularly pruned back quite freely. I prune it with hedge clippers without damaging it.
