2018's Baby Gus
Every Spring, a baby Black Vultue is hatched on the roof right above my office. We always name the baby Gus.
Black Vultures do not build a nest, instead, they lay their eggs in rocky crevices,
caves, tree cavities, hollow logs, and on the floors of abandoned buildings.
The family moves on, once the baby is flying well enough.
I can hear them running around on the roof for about two months now. This week, he's grown most of his feathers and can fly down to the ground. No tail feathers yet.
He wasn't afraid of me or the camera.
