January 7th

My House in Sugar Land, Texas

Callie hates the camera. She won't look at it, despite a lot of coaxing.
I guess animals are like people when it comes to photographs. Some don't mind and some do.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 II
1/30s f/1.8 at 10.4mm iso320 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

She definitely has a hard-done-by look on her (pretty) face.

She is such a shy beauty! V

She is so beautiful and this is a gorgeous portrait. V

Well at least she doesn't comae and shove her face in the lens the way one other feline I can think of does. She seems to have a very thoughtful expression here.

My cats are the same. What beautiful eyes! V

The colors in this are rich. I don't think any cats like cameras.

Wow, Callie is so beautiful, I like that portrait, great shot

She certainly looks reluctant, but it's still a nice portrait. Our Diego has been a photographic challenge to me for years.
Helen Betts08-Jan-2018 16:12
At least Callie didn't turn away, unlike what Sahraa would have done. Cute portrait of her in any case. V.

They find humans blinking at them far less aggressive...possibly that one big eye is disturbing. She's such a pretty cat.

Tape a cat-treat of some kind to the end of the lens? :-D
Nick Paoni08-Jan-2018 14:23
I'm afraid I'm squarely in Callie's camp on this one. I much prefer being behind the lens to in front of it. In her case at least it gives her that sort of cat aloof look which so many people find appealing.

voted: My Puzzle is the same non-cooperative subject type. I have taken to sneaking up on him with a camera when he is asleep.
